A Message from the Native Center for Behavioral Health

Please see this message from The Native Center for Behavioral Health

With great sadness in our hearts, we must inform you that the National American Indian and Alaska Native ATTC, MHTTC, and PTTC will discontinue operations effective Friday, Sept. 29, 2023. A new American Indian/Alaska Native Behavioral Health Center of Excellence will be offering services in the future; in the meantime, please reach out to your regional TTC offices with questions and technical assistance requests.

Please note that the Native Center for Behavioral Health with the National American Indian and Alaska Native Childhood Trauma TSA and the Siouxland Mental Health Awareness Training programs will continue operations as usual.

It has been our great honor to work with you over the years. We wish to express our undying gratitude for what we have collaboratively built over the years serving tribal communities and those who provide services for Indigenous peoples. We appreciate all we have learned from our partners and colleagues, and we are better people because of the relationships we have been privileged to build with you.

We know the legacies of the TTCs will remain and be carried on by all who developed curricula, provided training, and contributed their time, expertise, and voices to our work. We do not know what comes next, but we consider ourselves blessed to share this journey with you all.

As the Dakota saying goes, “We will be known forever by the tracks we leave.”

With warmest regards,

The Staff and Consultants of the Native Center for Behavioral Health
