It’s Time for Ice Skating!
HAVE FUN AT MEMORIAL PARK ICE RINK
The Memorial Park ice rink and warming house is scheduled to open December 20, 2013 – February 18, 2014. The warming house is open daily from 12 P.M. – 8 P.M. during winter break but closed Christmas day and has a shortened schedule on Christmas Eve. Weekend hours are Fridays 4 – 8 P.M., Saturdays 11 A.M. – 8 P.M., and Sundays 12 P.M. – 6 P.M.; holiday weekend hours vary. The cost for kids is $1 and adults $1.50. Skates are available at no charge, and hot chocolate, popcorn, candy, and other treats are for sale in the warming house when it is open. Ice skate donations are always welcome.
Free skating is also available at Cunningham and Lincoln parks. For more information, call 447-8077 or www.helenamt.gov.
HATS (Helena Area Transit Service) will provide free transportation on its fixed routes for any school-aged child during any Helena School District break.
This season the Helena Parks and Recreation Department will offer special events at the Memorial Park ice rink. Local businesses and organizations, such as the Lewis and Clark Library, will sponsor a variety of fun activities.
