Helena Community Gardens Pot Luck
Helena Community Gardens will host our 8th Annual Grow Local Potluck and Panel Discussion on May 19th, 2015 at St. Paul’s Methodist Church. Please join us at 5:30 pm for Helena’s best potluck followed by a panel, “Building Gardens, Building Communities: Finding Gardens in Unexpected Places.” Speaker and panel topics include Carroll Professor Gerald Schafer “What’s Happening Up in Canada?”, Great Falls Gardens from Garbage Executive Director Mike Dalton “Neighborhood Kids Practicing Sustainability”, and Director of the Boulder after school program Rochelle Hesford “Gardening for our Future”. We will hear about models of community gardening, neighborhood kids practicing sustainability, and bringing gardens into the schoolyard. The Montana Women’s Chorus will inspire us with songs as we eat, connect, and learn together. Children’s seed-planting activity and childcare provided during the panel, please RSVP for childcare.
